Pajama Jams
Wear your jammies and join in the Friday fun!

Pajama jams are special events for enrolled families and their guests offered on the third Friday of every month from 7:00 to 8:00 pm from September through May, with the exception of April. Pajama Jams include music, instruments, movement, story-time and, of course, loads of fun!

Support your child’s learning while supporting literacy for others

There is no tuition charged for Family Jams, but we ask that you bring one new or gently used children’s book or non-perishable food item for each child attending. Donations will be given to Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut to support their literacy program and to help provide opportunities for low-income families to gain a love of reading together. “Educate a woman...Educate a family”

Since 1987, Mercy Learning Center has provided basic literacy and life skills to low-income women in the greater Bridgeport area. As the motto of Mercy Learning Center, "Educate a woman...Educate a family," clearly demonstrates, the mission of the Center is to bring about a positive change to the problem of illiteracy; specifically, to provide basic literacy and life skills training using a "holistic" approach within a compassionate, supportive community.

The Center's programs focus on empowering, and providing dignity, economic self-sufficiency and hope to the most vulnerable members of society. By educating these women, Mercy Learning Center provides critical training to help functionally illiterate women improve their skills and earning potential, creating a more hopeful future for themselves and their children. www.mercylearningcenter.org
